The Core Datum Edge is a heavy-duty edging solution, specifically designed for commercial landscaping projects and landscape contractors. “Built for the trade, by the trade,” this edging combines functionality, durability, and aesthetics. This strong border provides a clean and efficient way to outline your projects. The fixing material is concealed, ensuring a neat finish.

Thanks to the patented DatumLock™ locking system, all desired shapes can be created. Both straight lines and curved forms can be easily achieved, and the system also allows for the creation of angles. This system not only provides design flexibility but also enables precise height adjustments of the edging. Additionally, the long, strong anchoring pins ensure that the edging is firmly anchored in the ground, even in challenging soil conditions.

The edging is available in three different finishes: galvanized steel for robustness, mild steel for flexibility, and corten steel for a unique, natural look that evolves over time. Each material offers a sustainable, fully recyclable solution, contributing to a greener future.

With a height of 150 mm and a length of 2200 mm, the Core Datum Edge is easy to install. Each package contains 4.4 meters of edging, along with anchoring pins and joining plates, ensuring a firm ground anchorage.

Step 1: Preparation
Clear the site thoroughly, and prepare the sub-base if necessary to ensure a stable foundation for the edging. If the ground is compact, we recommend loosening it to make it easier to place the edging.

Step 2: Placement
Insert the Core Datum Edge into the ground. The best way to secure the edging is with a wooden block and a hammer. The wooden block prevents damage to the top of the edging and ensures a safer installation.

Step 3: Anchoring
Secure the edging by sliding the included ground pins through the tubes. Hammer the pins down for additional reinforcement. Ensure that the tubes are positioned on the least visible side.

If you want to create a curved shape, use the pins to establish anchor points along the desired path.

Step 4: Height
Adjust the height by sliding the edging up or down on the pins. This allows you to establish your datum, ensuring the edging is level and set at the correct height. Lock in place using the DatumLock™ screws once the desired height is reached.

Step 5: Connection
Align the next length with the one already in place. Use the included joining plates to firmly join the two sections. Secure the included bolts.
Continue this process, adding and adjusting additional sections as needed.

Step 6: Finishing
Finish the surrounding surfaces or sub-base, and landscape as desired. The result is a clean finish to your garden borders.
