Can I use a sand bed of approximately 20 cm as a foundation for ECCOdal, possibly topped with 5 cm of crushed stone or a levelling layer of lava?

To ensure healthy grass growth, a foundation substrate is required as the base layer. A sand bed provides good structural support but does not offer any nutrients.
