Betotop Special is a self-clamping Corten steel profile that finishes and protects concrete kerbstones and has a longer visible face of 20 cm. For a high-quality Corten steel finish for your kerbstone.
-
Designed for high concrete curbs
The Betotop Special fits concrete edging blocks with a top width of 6 cm, where the visible side is 20 cm. It’s precisely that tall visible face that you can finish off completely and neatly with this profile—where a standard profile falls short.
-
Self-locking, quick to install
The profile is self-clamping: you slide it over the curb edge and it stays in place, without being able to shift. If you want extra security, you can fix the profile to the curb edge with a bit of cement. This way you can install it quickly and easily, even on larger construction sites.
-
Protects the concrete and lasts a long time
The high-quality corten steel has a long service life and at the same time protects the concrete kerb from damage, so it lasts longer too. Over time, corten steel develops a natural rust-brown colour.

What do I use Betotop Special for?
Betotop Special provides a sleek finish for high concrete kerbs (top width 6 cm, visible face 20 cm), where the large visible face reveals every imperfection:
- Public works: finishing high concrete kerbs along roads, squares and car parks, where the large visible face makes every colour and height difference visible.
- Gardens: a well-kept edging where higher kerbs absorb a level difference.
- Walking and cycling paths: a neat edge finish of raised kerbs along paths.
- Terraces: an aesthetic finish of high edges around raised terraces.
- Driveways and car parks: a sleek, protective finish of raised kerbs that separate the carriageway from adjacent zones.
- Pétanque courts: a sturdy, neat border with a high visible face.
How do you apply Betotop Special?
Step 1 - Preparation
Clear dirt from the top and sides of the concrete curb so the profile fits properly.
Step 2 - Remove protective film
Remove the protective film from the Betotop Special profile. This is quick and saves time on site.
Step 3 - Install profile
Slide the U-profile over the concrete curb. Thanks to the self-clamping shape, the profile is immediately secured and will no longer shift.
Step 4 - Anchor if required
If you want extra security, you can fix the profile to the curb with a little cement.
Step 5 - Align and finish
Align the successive profiles with each other; any height differences are absorbed by the length of the profile. Finish the corners and joints neatly for a continuous corten steel edge.

Frequently asked questions

Can I weld the corners of the corten steel Betotop?
That’s possible, but not necessary. Mitre the corners with a cutting disc — that way they fit together neatly without welding. If you do want to weld, use the right type of steel.
