For this project, paving was needed that is suitable for regular pedestrian traffic while also offering a well-maintained appearance.

In addition, water permeability played an important role. By choosing water-permeable paving, rainwater can be drained through the surface to the underlying structure, which is also water-permeable.

For the walking paths, Vuba powered by ECCO was chosen, a permeable, resin-bound stone carpet that combines natural aggregates with a high-quality polyurethane resin.

The system creates a seamless, stable surface in which the stones are firmly bonded together. This results in an even and comfortable walking surface, without loose stones.

Thanks to the system’s flexibility, the walking paths could be laid out in smooth, curved lines. This way, they naturally follow the contours of the landscaped green areas and connect the different entrances and communal zones.

The light colour of the stone carpet also provides a beautiful contrast with the planting and complements the modern look of the apartment building.
